my dell is running really slow so I’m looking for a free registry cleaner download .I know that sometimes you and pick up a virus by choosing a wrong download .
Most free Registry cleaners just run the scan but don’t clean it up. I am looking for a free cleaner that will actually clean it up as well. I appreciate any help, I have been having lots of problems with my pc and it is because of the registry.
I’ve downloaded it by mistake,is it worth paying .00 for? does it do any good,it says i have alot of problems. HELP
I run Ccleaner often,spyware and malware software and clean registry often too.But still runs a little slow.Not my internet connection either,as i have an outside connection set at a high rate.Any help would be good.Thankyou.(Also,what are TROJANS please?)My antivirus managed to stop 2 from entering my system last night.
I am so sick and tired of seeing FREE registry programs. You download the program, it scans the computer and comes up with this outrageous number of alleged errors and then you have to pay to have them fixed. Some actually fix maybe 20 errors, but nothing like they advertise. In fact, I dont know how they can advertise a free program that fixes registry errors, when it truly does not. False advertisements.
So, does anyone know of any TRULY FREE registry programs on the internet.
I’ve been trying to work this one out for a week.
Whenever I double click on a font (*.ttf or *.fon) I receive this error message (click link for image) http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y288/bigstep70/fonterrormessage.jpg … also many of the little ‘arrows’ in context/dropdown menus have changed to a mini-mouse symbol.
This happens with every font in the fonts folder. I’ve tried multitudes of font management programs and siphon’d thru page after page of forums and help sites but can find no sure match/cure for this problem.

tried to extract/restore the fonts from my xp cd… no go
tried font management/repair utilities… nadda
registry cleans (manual and software)… nope
font folder cleanout (down to xp core fonts)… no such luck
What am i missing if anything… short of formatting and reinstalling there doesn’t seen to be much else I can think of that will fix this.
Any suggestions/input would be great people..
Thanks Mowgli… gave it a try and "POOF" … it worked… now to find out what changed the assocciation in the first place.
i love system mechanic by iolo, and second best..fix-it by avanquest..but i used up the trials, can’t afford to buy at present. can anyone suggest another program equally as good. and free?
please don’t mention all those registry programs that find 500 problems, and fix 5!..uselesss!
is there anyway in the registry i can delete that i used the trials? so i can use it again..i used trials..delete and can use fix-it, but i just reinstalled, and it okay’d me, but the download page won’t open…desperate..!
i can rid my computer of extra files, i am more interested in registry fixes, tune-ups, defrag’s, etc. only system mechanic and fix-it have done this! has anyone used them, what’s your opinion, and better still is there any other one similar to these 2?
i did download the ccleaner, but it does minimal changes in my opinion, but is better than nothing.
