does anyone know of a free registry repair?

One of my programs says I need to clean up my registry but wants $ to do so. I have Vista on this laptop and figured there should be a repair service somewhere but don’t know where it would be. :0 thanks!

I'm using Ccleaner software? Is it good and safe?

Everytime I use my laptop before I will shut it down I always run the ccleaner software to run cleaner and registry to scan for issues.. Is it safe? I’m thinking maybe it removes some necessary files or programs of my computer.. Some of the icons of my software like microsoft security essentials and skype are not visible, I’m thinking maybe it affects it because i usually run the ccleaner.

My computer had been sending up various ads whenever i went online so i went to PC world and downloaded a adware and registry cleaner. Indeed they helped and my system ran a lot faster but one every now and then the registry cleaner would keep track of any unknow entries. I just deleated them and now i cannot login to windows anymore. Evertime i type my password and press enter it starts loading but then immediately logs off. I remember being unable to open any applications or programs that day that it first did that and when i restarted my laptop it just wouldn’t load. Does anyone have any suggestions on how i can repair this or do i need to reboot?

I have heard that a lot of registry cleaners can mess up your computer if you’re not careful. I have a friend who claims that he is a computer genius. I asked him if registry cleaners were safe to use and he said that only the registry cleaner that comes with Glary Utilities is safe to use. So I want an answer from someone other than him. Is it safe to use the Glary Utilities registry cleaner?
