Any software that will detect viruses in your registry?

Posted under Registry Cleaning Software by admin

I just downloaded ESET Smart Security 30 day trial but will that catch everything??? I’m really in the market for software that will catch anything that is not supposed to be there…how about software to install after a clean reformat to protect the system files??? Thanks folks..

    Don’t download ANY trial ANYTHING

    AVG anti-virus 8.0

    Yes, it really is free

Set it to do a full system scan – it will go through the registry.

For file protection, I’ve got two choices and regardless, I use both. Sygate Personal Firewall. And installing RAID 1 Hard Disk Drive(s). Anti-Virus software scans everything in your computer as often as you like. Or set it. Either way, it still will scan the registry whenever it does a full system scan. The best Anti-Virus software I’ve found, is Norton Corporate. But that was… from a friend. I doubt you can afford it although I’ve never actually looked into it. But I’ve never had trouble with that and it’s twice as good as the Norton Anti-Virus retail is. This one actually attempts to remove the virus for you and if it can’t, then it quarantines it until your reboot, then it deletes it. Where as, the retail Norton, prompts you a million times to find out if your actually, positively sure you want to get rid of it, and you still have to reboot. Good luck.
