Blue Screen: physical memory dumped?
Posted under Registry Repair Software by adminOk, I have an IBM Thinkpad laptop. I had a virus on the laptop, tried to do everything I could to get rid of it. Then when i was done with a scan and I restarted it it didnt work it came to a blue screen that said Physical Memory Dump complete then it said contact an administrator for more help. And I already used a Registry Cleaner/Repair called Free Window Registry Repair but when i restart it doesnt work still. So im wondering what I should do. I dont have a Windows XP CD, or any money. Suggestions?
P.S: It says it is an Unknow hardware or software so dont know what to do about that, and i can access safe mode networking.

OH NOES!!!! THE BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH!!!
relax there is a solution!!! you say you can go into safe mode…
so go into safe mode then find the malicious file, (maybe look up what virus you have online to see where it commonly hides)
once you found the file then delete it and try run it normaly
i suggest if you have fixed it to get AVG Free as it is easly the best free antivirus you can find
It is really pwerful and easy to use…
good luck mate (+10 points pl0x! =P)
Hello, are you able to restart the computer and repeatedly tap F8 and choose last known good config or safe mode?
Without full error this will be hard to determin the issue.
If you can get into windows check event viewer for the erorrs listed this will give us a clue on your issue.
Or could you run this:http://www.pchelpforum.com/windows-xp-2000/27453-blue-screen-death-how-post-your-blue-screen-death-here.html
This will give me a definate clue on what caused the issue.
I hope this helps?
JB.
when you restat the computer, does it gives you the option to press the F11 or F12 key, if it does doit , let me know. does it has a windows xp home edition sticker on the bottom? jcplastics@sbcglobal.net.
The virus perhaps implicitly damaged your system files. I think the best way to resolve thisis by reformatting your harddrive.
ok first of all the registry cleaner you used MESSED UP your system files. and maybe just maybe the virus did that to you too. Even if you go to safe mode .. it will not boot up. it did happen to me when i used a screwy registry cleaner before. ANY way here is a suggestion. IF you have a blank CD and can borrow a computer for few minutes from comeone you know. or even a public computer. go and download ubuntu from ubuntu.com or you can get mandriva from mandriva.org get the mandriva one. anyway its a FREE operating system that may save you (its opensource for more info go to http://www.distrowatch.org) in this issue. If you dont wanna go and buy windows XP ofcourse. That should save you untill you can afford to buy a windows CD. i use mandriva and opensuse myself.
sorry the only way to save your pc is to do a complete reformat.
Could be a problem with device drivers, hardware or software. This problem can be solved by uninstalling new software, updating device drivers and making minor configuration changes . From http://fixit.in/bluescreenofdeath.html . You can also run a free registry scan using utilities from http://re7.info
