   Sorry G4oxygen… I’m just adding this so I hope you see it. I’ve got an Acer PC. Can’t you use Acer ERecovery Management to restore to factory default? Make sure you back up all you can before taking action. I bought an Acer laptop and restored the PC to factory default to make it a ‘clean machine’ to use as a reserve.

   When I used it, it restores the system as it was when you purchased the PC (i.e. it will restore XP – that’s why you don’t need the discs), but it retains the data YOU created (personal files). All programs YOU installed, either from disc or the Internet will be erased; so put any on disc you downloaded from the NET.

   It’s safe……but again, anything personal, back up TO BE SAFE!

   If your computer is working very slow then do the following:

   1) Defrag your hard drive.
   2) Uninstall software you aren’t using.
   3) Remove applications from your startup.

   Be careful, Most Registry Cleaners/Utility are SCAMS !
   I’ve tried several registry utility (free and paid version) for my pc, but nothing works well as i want. my pc still running slow,some error still pop up,Currently I use Registry Easy,it’s not free but it’s works great on my pc.
