Registry Repair
Ok, heres the story. I had Windows Vista as the main OS on my laptop. It came pre-installed on my computer so I didn’t have the recovery disc. Somehow my registry got messed up (I think after I downloaded Vista SP2) and Windows wouldn’t start. I downloaded a recovery disc of Windows Vista through a torrent, booted from the CD, and after it supposedly ‘repaired’ my PC, still nothing, I now have the ‘black screen of death’ when I try to start Windows.
I am now using Ubuntu as my main OS because its the only way I can use my computer. However, there are a lot of programs that are only compatible with Windows that I need to use. Is there any way I can replace/restore my Windows registry through Ubuntu 10.04?
Thanks for your help.

I am getting error signs, like "Ybrowser" "Ypager" that keep me off connecting to the internet. This is what JohnB said, regarding my previous question, and since I am unable to chat with him, I post his answer. "You appear to me to have problems with your registry, in particular the Dynamic Link Library. I’d try reloading Windows in repair mode."
Yes, I meant re-format, I have done that with the backup CD and everytime I lose everything. I have windows ME
