Is Registry Repair Software Beneficial?

Posted under Registry Repair Software

A lot of noise has been created around the subject of registry repair software. You see ads for it just about everywhere. You also may be wondering if it really is needed – and why. Here are some answers to those questions that should help you understand why you need registry repair software for your computer.

It is beneficial because…

It Noticeably Enhances Your Computer’s Speed

The primary point of all the advertising of registry repair software is that it will enhance the speed of your computer. This certainly can be true of your computer if you have had it for a while.

The reason for a slow PC is that your PC registry file is basically a record of where everything on your computer is located. This file enables your computer to know where everything is – including all the parts and pieces of files scattered across your computer’s harddrive.

Each time you install or remove software, this file becomes larger or smaller. Not everything gets removed, however, when you uninstall software. Over time, this leaves a lot of broken files or pieces of files all over your computer, which will slow it down. Using registry repair software will remove the unused pieces and correct your registry file for maximum speed.

It Organizes Your Computer for Optimal Performance

Without a clean computer registry file, you risk a lot of problems, which will give you anything but optimal performance. Basically, it could become bad enough to almost make you want to trash your computer and buy another one. It can slow down your Internet speed, give you the blue screen of death, slow down everything, and show a lot of error messages. It will also cause computer freeze-ups – and other headaches.

Registry repair software will rearrange and remove those unneeded parts of files, or unremoved files and streamline the registry file for you. A good Windows registry repair program will clean your computer registry of the unnecessary pieces, and enable your computer to more easily find the files it needs which will give your computer the optimal performance you want.

It Eliminates Problem Registry Changes

Besides the fact that you end up with various parts of files or unused files on your harddrive, there is also the possibility that malware, spyware, or even adware may tamper with your registry file. Good registry repair software will remove these things and correct the registry file for you, which restores your computer to the speed and PC health you need.

It Enables You to Avoid A Crashed Computer

Another reason that you need registry repair software for is so that you can avoid the worst problem of all – a totally unusable computer. This can happen if your registry file becomes damaged enough. If that does happen, you would need to reinstall Windows.

Registry repair software comes in many forms, and even some good ones may be free. You do need to shop around, however, to check out the details of each program. Some registry repair software programs will only fix a few problems and other registry cleaners will repair a corrupted registry file quite thoroughly.

Best Registry Repair Software Review ? Why Is My Computer Slow, And How To Fix It?

Posted under Registry Repair Software

There is a reason why everybody is looking for the best registry repair software, although the number of registry repair softwares available in the market is no few, there are quite a few among them that we can call the black sheep. Doing more harm to a computer than they do good. That is why people around the globe are constantly on the lookout for the perfect registry repair tool that is also harmless and highly efficient. Below are just some of my experiences in my search of the best one.

What registry repair software really does is that it repairs and defragments the registry of any operating system. The registry being the record an operating system makes when you personalize it.

Things like what you installed, uninstalled or modified as well as your startup programs and login passwords, all are saved in your registry, however since it is so well used up part of your operating system, it gets clogged up with time.

Registry repair program unclogs any such fragments in the registry as well as repairing any such registry values that may have been damaged due to the constant wear and tear. Now comes the point where the best registry repair software differs from all others.

Where an off the counter registry repair program will merely defrag and repair the registry files, the best registry repair software makes sure that any changes being made do not jeopardize any other softwares functioning and only delete things that are 8unnecessary for proper functioning and are clogging up the stream.

Getting only the best registry repair program is of an utmost importance since not-so-good registry repair software can just as well become the reason why you windows fail to boot after a certain time. On the other hand good reliable registry repair software will ensure a longer and faster usage of your operating system.

CD/DVD Drive won't play DVDs but will play CDs!!!?

Posted under Registry Repair Software

Ok this isn’t so much a question as just a compilation of all the info…
This can also be the case if DVDs play but not CDs… (in CD/DVD Drives)
But there a couple of things you can try…

A. Try fixing registry:
=== Backing Up Registry and Registry Key ===
CAUTION: The registry contains critical information and a
registry backup is essential. An incorrect registry
entry may cause serious system problems or prevent the
computer from starting. You will not be warned of any
incorrect registry entries. If the registry is not
backed up, the only way to recover the system is to
reinstall the operating system. Do not double-click the
Backup.reg file on the desktop unless you intend to undo
the changes you are making to the registry.

1. Click Start and type regedit in the text box.

2. Click "File" in the menu.

3. Click "Export" from the drop-down menu.

4. Click the down arrow beside "Save In" and select a Local Disk (i.e. C:)

5. Type Backup.reg in the File Name field.

6. Click Save.

=== Deleting UpperFilter and LowerFilter Registry Keys ===

1. Click Start and click Run.

2. In the Open box, type regedit and click OK.

3. Click the plus (+) sign beside HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE.

4. Click the plus (+) sign beside System.

5. Click the plus (+) sign beside Current Control Set.

6. Click the plus (+) sign beside Control.

7. Click the plus (+) sign beside Class.

8. Locate the {4d36e965-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318} key and click it.

9. On the File menu, click Export.

10. In the File name box, type savedkey and click Save. It is better to save the "savedkey" to the desktop.

11. Click the REG_MULTI_SZ data type UpperFilters (found in right window pane) and then click Delete on the Edit menu.

12. When you are prompted to confirm the deletion, click Yes.
NOTE: If this data type is missing, continue to the next
method.

13. Click the REG_MULTI_SZ data type LowerFilters (found in right window pane) and click Delete on the Edit menu.

14. When you are prompted to confirm the deletion, click Yes.

15. Quit the Registry Editor and restart the computer.

B. Unistall Driver
Note: CD/DVD drivers reinstall automaticlly upon reboot if missing.

1. Select Computer and click on Manage.

This will prompt you with a User Account Control Window.

2. Click on Continue.

This will open Device Manager.

3. Click the "+" sign next to CD/DVD Drive.

4. Click the first device listed under CD/DVD drive to highlight it.

5. Click uninstall to remove the CD/DVD device driver.

6. Click OK for confirmation.

C. If the above didn’t work (like in my case)
It is most likely not a software issue but a problem with the hardware. You can take it to back to where you got it and they will repair it or refund you if it is still under warranty. But you might be in the position I was stuck in where your warranty just expired. In that case find a cheap external hard drive capable of meeting your needs, a decent one will run you about 30-60 bucks.

Good luck, and I hope this helped!!!

Does Windows Vista Need Registry Repair Software?

Posted under Registry Repair Software

All other versions of Windows needed to have the registry cleaned in order to keep the operating system performing at peak efficiency. A Windows registry repair software program actually helps to restore the corrupt registry to its pristine condition and enables your computer to fly again. The new Windows Vista is no different – it also needs for you to regularly use registry repair tools to keep it in peak shape. The Windows Vista registry file operates in the same way as it does in the other versions of Windows. The Windows registry file is used as a storehouse of all the locations of your files and programs that you use. Each time you make changes in your computer, such as adding or removing software or hardware, changes are made to your registry file.

Over time your computer develops a corrupt registry because pieces of programs are left behind. Many of these pieces end up not connected to anything that remains on your harddrive. Soon the file becomes bloated with a lot of unnecessary useless pieces of programs.

This means that your computer now must regularly search through a lot of useless files – which it does not even know why they are there. This can visibly slow your computer down, cause it to hang, and maybe even crash. A good registry repair software program can enable you to easily fix registry errors.

Finding a good registry repair tool online is easy to do, but you will need to compare them carefully in order to get the best registry cleaner. The software you need can be in the form of free registry repair software, or you may choose to go all the way up to a top registry cleaner. Make sure that it will provide you with both registry scan and repair features. It is quite possible that some freeware registry cleaner may only scan your computer registry and then you will have to pay in order to get it to actually heal your Windows Vista registry.

Besides that, you should know that only new versions of Windows registry repair software will be able to scan and repair the new Vista files. This means you will need to look to make sure – before you download it – that the software you want to use can actually do the job. If it can’t, of course, you may actually end up with a further corrupted registry file that even your computer cannot use. This makes it a good idea to create a backup registry file before you use any registry cleaner software.

Check some of the review Web sites for the registry repair software you want to use, and then you can be sure to get the computer problems you may be facing corrected. Once your corrupt registry is fixed, it should restore your computer to its original operating speed and give you much better performance. This will keep Windows Vista operating in the way it was designed, and you will have far fewer operational problems with your computer.

I can see the top notch of my taskbar but i cannot pull it up?

Posted under Registry Repair Software

I removed several viruses from my computer and I believe I may have a few registry issues. Windows previously wouldnt log in, it had a logout loop immediately following an attempt to log in. Once I fixed that, the desktop background would load but the icons would not as well as the task bar. I ran combofix and now I have icons but the task bar is stuck at the bottom. I can see the tip of it and has the verticle arrows to pull it up but it will not budge. It is not locked and i’ve tried to repair it, but i’m also having a permissions issue error ’70′. I tried to go through regedit and allow full control to the software but i think im missing something. If it helps, a side note, I had removed rootkit with combofix.

Any help is appreciated, thank you.

BSOD Windows Vista Problem?

Posted under Registry Repair Software

Thank you for reading my question I really appreciate your help:

Recently I’ve been getting the BSOD (Blue screen of death) my OS is Windows Vista. Right now I’m not using my computer as the other one only works for 3 min then it gives me the bsod. The things I suspect might have caused it was when I cancelled the “windows 2011 essentials” update after it was taking over an hour to download, and minutes after bosd popped up. On the list of updates there was an Nvidia update that said it had failed to update maybe 3 days before, I’m not sure if that has anything to do.

The first time I saw it it was while browsing the web

Then it even appeared while in Safe-Mode.
When I was in Safe-Mode the computer froze 3 times while trying to enter some folders when I was trying to backup some stuff.

I understand this might be a software or a Hardware problem, This is what I’ve done to try to solve this problem:

System restore, apparently it worked but when I reset BSOD came back up.
Registry analysis and fixing, still bsod.
Anti-virus, nothing and still bsod.
Used Disk-cleanup
I also opened up my PC and like I do once a month cleaned inside, with a can of compressed-air and then vacuumed close to it but not to close cause I was told static might damage it so I’m aware of that.
I plugged my PC somewhere else to check if it was something related to power supply.

I don’t know what it could be, anyone know what I could try? I’m going to get the windows disk and try to repair it. If use the windows disk while it format my computer? Or will it keep all my files there? Cause it doesn’t let me backup anything :(

Thanks for reading this and for your answers!

I need to build a specialized diagnostic computer. Experts please?

Posted under Registry Repair Software

I am looking into going into computer repair, i am not talking about best buy’s geek squad, i am talking about a real, nerd’s "run from his basement" computer repair shop.

I am aware that the certification is, if not a must, then almost a must, and will be taking the courses necessary.

What i need though, i a computer that is capable of externally hooking up an internal hard drive, the same way you might hook up an external one. I need it to be able to run security suit software, to clean those hard drives, i need it to be fast, with a good bit of ram, i am thinking 2.66 core 2 quad and 6gigs of ram, i can skimp on the hard drive and the graphics card, because this thing is only going to be scanning other computers.

I know i am going to need serious tools, tools i already have or will acquire.

I was telling you all that, to get the bull crap out of the way, so i dont have a bunch of no nothing 2bit hacks telling me that i "get a fast computer"

What i need to know, are good brands of external hard drive "docks", and what is the correct terminology for them, i know my way around the inside of a computer, but i need to be able to build a computer that can slave an internal hard drive externally.

I also need to know what kind of diagnostic software is available for error checking the registry of a hard drive that is in slave mode

Computers are my passion, and it pains me to see those people at best buy, 90% of them doing a job that a trained monkey could do, I want to really offer personalized help, and creative solutions.

I also plan to do advising, and upgrade installation in computers.

Also, if anybody knows any good books on the subject manner, that would really rock too

and this is a warning to spammers, i will delete and report spam answers.
note: i would use an external hard drive for the data recovery, that way i wasn’t risking copying something something a virus to the main hard drive of my computer.
