USB Error/Error Code 43?

Posted under Registry Repair Software

Hi!

I have an external HDD ("LaCie LaCinema Classic" 500GB Multimedia HDD) which recently stopped getting recognized by my Computer (MSI Motherboard, Intel P4, Win 7 Ultimate 32bit) after I installed my new mobile phone (SonyEricsson Vivaz Pro).

I uninstalled the phone software etc., but the problem still persists. I also have a "Fujitsu Siemens Storagebird 1TB" external HDD, which had the same problem initially but now works even if I install the phone (after I used a registry repair program).

If I try uninstalling/reinstalling the device in device manager, the mouse suddenly switches on/off permanently (including windows disconnect/reconnect sound), and everytime it reconnects it installs a new "unknown device" under the "other devices" section in device manager (must be at least 20-30 in there now).

I tried connecting the LaCie HDD to a Laptop running Vista Home Premium, but the same problem occured. I also tried replacing the USB cable, using another port, uninstalling the device in device manager and (as recommended on other sites) unplugging the computer from the power supply.
The HDD is definately still working though as it still shows/plays all files when I connect it to the TV and use the multimedia function via remote control.

I can’t find any useful advice, and I also can’t any proper drivers for either the drive or the USB controller. LaCie doesn’t have any proper support downloads etc. on their website.

Please help, I’m desperate to find a solution.

Thanks a lot in advance

What is causing my PC to randomly blue screen crash and have trouble restarting?

Posted under Registry Repair Software

My PC a bit less than 3 years old. I run Windows Vista. About a month ago, it started to randomly crash to a blue screen and restart. Sometimes, it has trouble even moving beyond the start up screen and I have to manually shut it down several times. Windows prompts me to launch the start up repair utility and I have managed to actually do it …. once……and it resulted in an alert from Windows saying "Windows could not repair the problem". Once the computer actually restarts, I get a Windows Event Log Message about the blue screen error and it tells me that my Roxio PX Engine needs updated to solve the problem. I went to the website, updated the engine and it seemed to work ……………… for about a week. Then blue screen, crash, restart all over again with the same message that I need to update the PX Engine. I have updated all my drivers, scanned/cleaned my registry, malware scanned the entire system, installed all the updates from Microsoft and still have random trouble. I have not added any new hardware in several months, but there is one software item I added last month….I downloaded an expansion pack game from GameTap. It runs and plays just fine and has never crashed while the game is active. Any ideas what to do next?

My Dell inspiron 1501 with win vista won't run because the registry is corrupt?

Posted under Registry Repair Software

when you restart it, it goes into startup repair, and it can’t fix the problem, then it restarts and does it over and over and over again, even if i select start windows normally. I tried to restore back to factory settings, and a box came up that said error… that’s all it said! i tried all of the restore options and none of them worked. luckily i had already saved my personal files to an external hard drive (maybe that’s the software that messed it up to begin with) just a week ago. Help! i really wanna get this laptop going so i can send it to my husband in afghanistan so we can hear from each other more than once a week!

How to Fix a Anti Virus XP 2010 Problem?

Posted under Registry Repair Software

My computer just suffered from a virus,
i had the anti virus xp 2010 but i followed the first intructions on this site:

http://www.myantispyware.com/2010/01/28/how-to-remove-xp-internet-security-2010-xp-guardian-antivirus-xp-2010/

the first intructions were :
Step 1. Repair “running of .exe files”.

Click Start, Run. Type command and press Enter. Type notepad and press Enter.
Notepad opens. Copy all the text below into Notepad.

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\.exe]
[-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\secfile]
[-HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\secfile]
[-HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.exe\shell\open\command]

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\exefile\shell\open\command]
@="\"%1\" %*"

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.exe]
@="exefile"
"Content Type"="application/x-msdownload"

Save this as fix.reg to your Desktop (remember to select Save as file type: All files in Notepad.)
Double Click fix.reg and click YES for confirm.
Reboot your computer.

thats exactly what i did, and when i rebooted my computer some of my files on my desktop
as i clicked them said "Windows cannot open this file because it needs to know what program created it.
but the good part is, the virus is gone.
i dont know how to fix this, can i please have some help!

thanks
& everytime i try to download something it wont let me … it just re-directs me to this unknown file website

I'm working with Windows XP Service Pack 3?

Posted under Registry Repair Software

It’s a Dell desktop. I have 512MB RAM and 24% of free space left on the hard drive. It’s been sluggish lately. I have anti virus, registry repair, anti spam and malware installed. To get better performance do I delete some software and files to free up some space or upgrade my RAM? Do (family) pictures take up alot of hard drive space? I tend to keep alot of old emails. Should I delete them too? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Edit: My laptop's disc drive won't recongize any CDs?

Posted under Registry Repair Software

I already asked this question and recieved an answer but needed more information, but couldn’t add any details. EDIT: So, does these mean that it’s pyshical and I need to replace the actual
CD/DVD-ROM? I need to go to a computer repair store and get a new one, and it’s not so "internal" where I can upload something? Thank you much for clearing this up!

Here’s my original question:
know this question can be repetative… but… I went to DEVICE MANAGER, and the status says it is:

Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)

Click ‘Check for solutions’ to send data about this device to Microsoft and to see if there is a solution available.

— The last part is fustrating, because it won’t allow me to click on "check solutions" AHH help me?

Is this something with the physical computer (I need to replace it?) or is it more on the software, where I can reinstall or update something?

My laptop is a Compaq Presario CQ50-215NR Notebook PC (Windows Vista)

Thank you so much in advance!

What services do I need to fix & improve my slow computer?

Posted under Registry Repair Software

I have TW Roadrunner Cable internet service, but it takes a long time when I open up a page or download things. One thing I really can’t stand is how my mouse cursor keeps freezing on the screen. I have to unplug it, then plug it back in for it to work (about every 2 min on average). I checked my "Local Disk (C:)" and the free space is 17.4GB of 71.3GB. Not really sure if that has something to do with it or not. BTW, I have CCleaner installed, and I run the cleaner and scan the registry at least once a day. Okay, long story short; I’m going to take my computer to a repair center, but I want to know exactly what to ask for. Because obviously I don’t want to purchase anything I really don’t need. But IDK if it’s new security software, more memory, etc… Please help!! Thanks so much.

KERNEL-BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH(BSOD) PROBLEMS ON WINDOWS VISTA?

Posted under Registry Repair Software

Hi!
Last night I left my toshiba satellite L300 laptop on to run scans.I have Malwarebytes,Supera Antispyware,Comodo Registry Cleaner and Microsoft Security Essentials installed(all those were running at the same time, but that wasn’t a issue ever before).
In the evening I had also installed some new software from comodo’s site.I downloaded and installed comodo dragon, internet security, system cleaner, easy vpn, backup, disk encryption, secure email, antispam, antimalware, verification engine, time machine, cloud scanner and I also got their free email certificate(you can look up all those programs on their site if you want and here is the link if you want to do so http://www.comodo.com/products/free-products.php ).
I ‘m not quite sure what went wrong.I just thought it would be a good time to upgrade my security…
Everything was ok with the new programs installed, even after rebooting it.I was working on my computer and it was fine,so I decided to let the programs do the scanning overnight. After all, this wasn’t the first time.
So my old programs and the new Comodo Cloud Scanner were running.
In the morning I went to check if everything was alright.Supera had detected 3 or 4 threats(advertising cookies-nothing serious),Registry Cleaner had detected some problems with some keys and Cloud Scanner showed a message about an error that wouldn’t let it finish the scan.
So I quarantine the items Supera had enlisted(it wasn’t the first time,I had done it before),I delete the errors detected by Registry Cleaner(wasn’t the first time either) and i close the Cloud Scanner’s error window(the program was also closed at the same time). All three actions taken at that exact order. And immediately the computer shuts down.It showed a blue screen of death saying KERNEL….something I don’t remember….error, gave some microsoft advice about contacting admin or tech support, checking newly installed software or hardware etc,and then it gets stuck for at least 5-10 minutes showing the BSOD.So I press the reboot button.Nothing.It won’t shut down. So…I pulled the plug.I know it probably wasn’t the smartest move, but I really was desperate.
Then,I hit the on button,it opens showing a black screen with white letters saying microsoft windows cannot start properly. It gave me the following choices:start normally, start in safe mode/safe mode with basic programs(or something like that)/safe mode with command line and a last choice I hadn’t seen before starting at the last "secure" or something like that(meaning the pc running at the condition of the last time it started properly) for advanced users.I tried all these options-one at the time of course, but no luck. The screen also suggested using the vista installation cd and run fault repair. That last one I can’t do,cause my laptop came with vista preinstalled and no cd came with it.I was hoping I could use a restore point to make things better,or uninstall the programs(1st option is probably best),but I can’t even start it.
Any sugestions?Thanks in advance:-)
I forgot to mention that all my archives are in that computer and I don’t have any backup…
I trully apreciate your help!Does anybody have any idea how to recover my data?Preferably without paying…Thanks once again
