it keeps telling me my system health is low cause it wont repair these 28 custom control errors
hello, i recently help remove IMGKULOT from my friend’s laptop using the same process i used to remove TAGA LIPA ARE from my pc, because they are more or less the same type of virus. HOWEVER, wen i told him to scan for all traces of imgkulot in his registry & delete it, he accidentally deleted the "userinit.exe" & when he restarted his pc, everytime he logs in, it automatically logs off. now there’s no way he can access his pc. what do you suggest we do? he needs his files because he’s a teacher & all his students’ grades are in his laptop. he doesn’t care if he has to tear his laptop down just to retrieve his files. please help us. i feel kinda responsible for his loss. u can rply here or email me at neo_drumz@yahoo.com. any advise or help will surely be appreciated. thank you very much!
he deleted only the registry field not the file
Were you happy with it? How long did it take. I have a desktop running xp and it only took about 15 minutes to scan. My laptop is running vista ultimate and it has been scanning for over 6 hours…

They cost anywhere from .95 to .95 or more. Some of them claim to have found 500 errors on my computer.(Did they really find this many?)
Is it worth the money, or are there free registry cleaners that will find and repair the same 500 errors?
I downloaded "Registry Cleaner" and then I waited and waited..and waited for it to finish finding many problems on my pc……..just to learn that the "free" download was to show me how many problems I had, NOT to also repair them. That I found would cost me !
I am dirt poor, and at per 18yard dumptruckload delivered, I am poorer than dirt.
Please advise me where I may find a registry cleaner or a pc speed up download for free. I did the trial of "One Click Maintenance" which I highly recommend and used it to much satisfaction for the 30 day free trial, If I could have afforded it, I would have bought it. It is a great program, but evidently it didnt have a registry cleaner on it, because the registry cleaner program mentioned above found about 1000 problems with my pc. I need to fix them for free please advise. thank you. I love Yahoo answers I have learned sooo much. thanks again.
I have a new windows 7 but it already needs a good cleaning. I looked up some old questions but all of the posts were lies. Many suggested ‘Free" registry cleaners but after I installed and did a cleaning they wanted to charge me to continue. Any suggestion from one computer lover to another?
Please excuse my ignorance if that sounded stupid, but I own a Toshiba Satellite Laptop 2006 Windows XP (if that helps), and its extremely slow (broadband internet, start menu, everything), if there was a level beyond extremely slow, this computer is it. I honestly don’t know whats the problem, I’ve downloaded every Anti-virus to Systamatic, AVG, Norton and to computer cleaners such as CCleaner, SuperAntivirus, Obit-Security etc. But nothing speeds this computer up nor find a threatening virus with in it. I don’t know if its a Worm lying doormat with in the registry that slows it, or the registry is just damaged by previous viruses. I been thinking about taking to the geek squad and letting them re-vamp it.
I really don’t know what to do, If any one could give me any advice on what steps to take I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.
I came across an ad for this product today while searching for ways to speed up computer applications on my laptop. The reviews I have read so far indicate a mixed feel from those who have used it.
The other product I am considering is called RegCure. I might buy it from http://www.pc-registry-repair.com/
Would doing a repair (not a reformat) on Windows (XP) would make you have to reinstall all of your installed games? Since repairing rewrites and changes your registry.
As a computer user, have you encountered times when your PC refuses to shut down, and the only thing you can do is to hold down the power control key to turn your computer off? Slow PC shutdown occurs quite commonly with Windows operating systems.
Unfortunately, it\’s not really wise to keep on holding down the power key for as long as it takes to shut down your computer. You are in fact, only endangering your system. If you don\’t lose all your data altogether, you may find it harder to start your system up than to shut it down.
It\’s good to know that you can be able to shut down slow PC without having to take drastic means and risk your system in the process. First, though, you must understand the reason why your PC slows down. As you must know, your computer has a registry, a sort of storage bank for information. After some time, this registry becomes clogged with files, many of which are no longer valid while some are even corrupted. The thing is, your system still recognizes them because they are still there lurking somewhere, but now the processing takes longer and becomes more difficult.
To put it simply, consider driving your car along a rocky road. Certainly, you are not going to get to your destination soon enough as the road is rough and there are plenty of rocks to stumble on. Well, it\’s basically the same thing with your computer registry. If you are finding it hard to maneuver your car amidst the rocks, your computer registry is also having difficulties going through the stored files.
Obviously, if you want your car to go at full speed, you need to clear the road of the hurdles. In like manner, if you do not want to experience slow shutdown of your PC, then you must fix the errors found in your registry.
You need to be technically knowledgeable in order to manually fix the registry errors. The manual process can be very tricky, you see, and if you do not have the right technical knowledge and skills on how to go about it, it\’s best to keep yourself away from it. You may only endanger your PC even more as you may delete or edit the wrong files.
You can use an automated registry cleaner as an alternative, though. This software program is 100% automated, which means that you can sit back and relax as it scans your registry and fixes the errors without you having to do much else.
Software programs like this enable you to solve your problem with regards to slow PC shutdown. However, before purchasing the product, take time to read what other customers and experts are saying with regards to the various registry cleaners around.
