Frequently I am getting a pop up asking to repair my registry..?

Posted under Registry Repair Software by admin

I am frequently getting a pop up asking me to download a registry cleaner software from some site and clean the registry… How to remove the pop up??

  1. danuitti Said,

That popup is spyware. Just hit the X in the top right corner.

Maybe you should run a full anti-virus scan.

You should have an anti-spyware solution on your computer. I recommend that you go to http://www.download.com and get AD-AWARE and SpyBot Search & Destory. Install, run, update and scan your computer with both programs.

These are cleanup tools. Ad-aware cleans files, and SpyBot cleans the registry

    Good luck and Happy Computing!

Run a spyware, adware, and virus scan. Chances are, you have some kind of malware that is causing you to get those popups. Once you get rid of the threat, then download firefox from mozilla.com, which includes a built in popup blocker.

That’s a piece of adware and needs removing – try the multitude of spyware and adware removal tools that are available.

You have some sort of spyware on your system. I would get something like Spambot if you do not have it already. You have something running at start up, probably a gater product, you don’t know about.

This means that you have some virus/trojans downloaded on your system which are playing.

You need to scan your system and remove the virus/spyware/trojans present in your system. Use a good Anti-Virus/Anti-Spyware Software Tool like AVG.

Search on the google for AVG Anti Spyware, download the tool, scan your system completely and remove the viruses/trojans/spyware present in the system. If it still persists, you might need to format your system.

    Good luck!!

No don’t accept ! it’s a spyware or malicious site … just you need a pop-up blocker .. internet explorer 6 and newer have auto blocker .. and many famous browsers too …

    u may try this : http://www.avant.com it’s very good …
also most of anti-spy software block this too .. don’t worry your pc havent problems or viruses .. it pops from a website like ads only .

  7. Sandy Said,

Also note the instructions, most all of the Anti Spyware or whatever programs tell you to run them in SAFE MODE. this is very important.
After you have gotten rid of that nasty, make a backup of your System, then tomorrow if its still clean, make another. Get in the habit of makein Image Backups onto CD-Rs or CD-RWs twice a week is good, then when you get your next Virus Spyware just pop in the last Stable Image and its GONE!

    Hi there,

"Regsitry Cleaner" is a variant of the "Drive Cleaner" infection:

The best and easiest way to remove this is by installing the Free Trial of Prevx1. This will scan your PC and remove this and any other infections free of charge.

You can use yahoo pop blocker.
Or you can opt opera web browser it automatically diable pop ups and let you know what is blocked and if you want to see you can see. It also stops any site which is accessing your computer.
