Don’t do anything on your computer while running an anti-virus scan ! When you’re finished with a session and you would normally shut off the computer, that’s when you launch the anti-virus scan. Then go take a shower, have supper, watch tv, whatever. But basically scan when you don’t need the computer. When you use the computer, especially if your are connected to the internet, lots of files get updated continually and you will just confuse your anti-virus software and create problems for yourself.
Scheduled scans are intended for people who leave their computer on most of the time, and it should be scheduled in a time slice when the computer is not in use. Otherwise, disable scheduled scan and launch it manually when you know it is appropriate as above.
It claims it has recovered it.
I’d recommend restarting after the scan is complete and keeping your fingers crossed!
