How do i totally dump the registry of my computer?
Posted under Registry Cleaning Software by adminHi. i just attained my sisters old computer. she has all she wants taken off of it but there are viruses infecting the computer. I want to dump the registry and i have the CD’s to reinstall all of the software i need. I dont just want to clean the registry and hard drive i want it dumped to the point like the computer was just taken out of the box… help would be nice..Thanks.. jlew593
You didn’t mention having restore disks for your computer or your Operating System. If you don’t have those, you’ll be out of luck after you DBAN your hard drive; but on the other hand, if you have your restore disks, all you need to do is re-format your computer. That will make it just like out of the box. (No need for a Boot and Nuke.)
Edit: Stay away from the advice given below. The product is RegCure. It is made by Paretologic, the same company that makes Xoftspy. RegCure will claim to find registry errors on a fresh-from-the-box, virgin machine, and you have to buy it to fix the exaggerated and blatantly false errors that it finds… the same scare tactic that Xoftspy uses. Again, stay away from RegCure and Xoftspy.
Download iso image file Boot & Nuke hard drive wipe, mount it to a cd and boot it up to wipe the hard drive, then re-install the OS.
Mail me and i will show you how to burn it onto cd
Get the clean up tools to registry (the place they are stored when pc startup)
