   If your OS is completely hosed due to a corrupt registry it may be better to just reinstall Windows, rather than spending hours of your time trying to track down and fix the hundreds of problems you may potentially have.

   Can you access the Windows repair installation option? If you can, do just that — Windows will reinstall, but your files will still remain.

   looks like you should just do a full system restore, basically format and reinstall vista, if you have data on your old hard drive you want to save, use another computer to do so. If you have no idea what I’m talking about, take it to a computer repair shop.

   Instead of trying to repair corrupted files in Windows this is what you need to do.First copy all your important data to a different drive or DVD-Rom,then REinstall Vista.This may not be what you want to hear since it’s a pain reinstalling all your programs but trust me,you will avoid so many headaches down the road if you just do this instead of trying to fix busted registry files.Good luck!
