   If you have a virus you should scan for it with anti virus software. You can read a review and download registry cleaner software trials here:

   I would also recommend scanning your pc for spyware and other malicious software!

I personally use Uniblue’s registry cleaner which can be downloaded from http://www.liutilities.com/products/registrybooster/ This software offers backup, restore, cleaning, defrag, etc and is very easy to use.
