My Dell inspiron 1501 with win vista won't run because the registry is corrupt?
Posted under Registry Repair Software by adminwhen you restart it, it goes into startup repair, and it can’t fix the problem, then it restarts and does it over and over and over again, even if i select start windows normally. I tried to restore back to factory settings, and a box came up that said error… that’s all it said! i tried all of the restore options and none of them worked. luckily i had already saved my personal files to an external hard drive (maybe that’s the software that messed it up to begin with) just a week ago. Help! i really wanna get this laptop going so i can send it to my husband in afghanistan so we can hear from each other more than once a week!

I would suggest to buy registry repair software

It sounds like hard drive went bad .
Hi,
To resolve the registry related errors use a registry cleaning softwae, for instance, RegInOut utility. As you pointed out that a sceen showing options like Start Windows Normally, Safe Mode, and so on, I would recommend Formatting and Reinstalling Windows.
To do so, follow these procedures:
REQUIREMENTS:
a. Bootable Microsoft Windows Operating System Installation CD/ DVD ROM
b. A 25 Characters valid Product Key
STEPS:
1. Insert the Bootable Microsoft Windows Operating System Installation CD/ DVD ROM in your drive.
2. Reboot your system.
3. When you see the Logo of your motherboard manufacturer on your screen, frequently press F2 or Delete button of your keyboard.
4. You will enter in to a full screen BIOS Settings window, usually of blue coloured.
5. Set-up the following by searching in available menus, sub-menus:
First Boot Device: CD/ DVD ROM Drive
Second Boot Device: Hard Disk Drive
6. Save your settings by pressing an appropriate button.
7. Again, your system will restart.
8. When you see the following message on your screen, just press Enter or Spacebar:
"Press any key to boot from CD/ DVD . . . . ."
9. Continue the setup your own.
10. On the page displaying all the drives on your computer:
In case of Windows XP Setup, select the system drive (such as, drive C), and press "F" to format it.
In case of Windows Vista/ 7 Setup, select a drive, and click "Additional Options -> Format".
11. Do the above Step 10 for all the drives on your computer.
12. Select a drive to install Windows, and then click "Next" button, or press ENTER.
13. Continue the setup your own.
