A Registry Check, Spyware Clean and Virus Protection Are All Different Issues

By now, just about every computer user has a virus scanner setup on his or her computer. In fact, those who dont have one and are running Windows XP or Vista are getting constant reminders from their OS that they better get virus protection soon. This is good because it only takes one virus to put your computer out of business!

Another thing we computer owners always have to be on the lookout for is spyware. Even though some virus cleaners deal with some spyware, it is important to know you are keeping all spyware off your hard drive even if it takes installing a separate spyware cleaner to do it. The reason this is so important is spyware not only is an affront to your computers health, it can steal your banking information and passwords!

Corruption in the Registry Will Slow Down Your Computer

While spyware and viruses have their own agendas, registry corruption has none. While spyware and viruses are performing their dirty work they are stealing your computers resources which usually will result in slow computer operations. Registry corruption will slow down your computer or cause it to crash and behave strangely simply because that is what registry corruption does.

Registry corruption is probably less dangerous than spyware because registry corruption only affects your operating system while spyware can steal your identity. Still, when registry corruption accumulates it can cause your operating system to stop working altogether. Then, you would need a reformat and reinstall. This is bad enough, especially if you dont have a complete backup of your files!

If there is a significant amount of corruption present in the registry, it would be wise to clean it out quickly because registry corruption tends to build upon itself. The result could be a complete operating system failure. Of course an operating system failure means a complete system and file reinstall would be necessary. In the meantime, your computer will just keep getting slower and slower and slower.

The Solution is Relatively Simple

Spyware is one issue, viruses are another and registry corruption is still another. Its a bad deal, but that is the way it is. A computer needs to be guarded against being infected by any of these three rascals. If it is not, the result could be a big problem.

So, your plight is to deal with each one of these problems. Any one of them can cause computer slowdowns and crashes. They all work against your computer in different ways. Unfortunately, they all require their own removal tools.

Its not such a bad thing if it ends up you need to purchase both a spyware cleaner and a registry cleaner. They are not high priced items. However, you can get a free scan before you buy either one of them so you may find you dont need to jump into buying two programs right away. I am assuming there is already a virus scanner installed on your computer, but if there isnt you should strongly consider getting g a free scan with one of those as well because you certainly dont need a computer virus because they can really be costly.
