    I use CCleaner. It’s not done anything to my PC at all, and I do find that it speeds my computer up.

    So, what about utilities like Diskeeper, that defrag the registry, and/or resize allocated space for it? I no longer use Diskeeper, but I know a lot of you stand by it.

    thanks. i might reinstall my system caused to”registry easy” which should be the top rated registry cleaner. it’s not top rated for me. its crap for me

    i gotta reinstall the whole thing now -.-

    never use reigstry cleaners if you just scan and doesn’t look at the result

    even though it backs up your system its not the same after

    OK, CP i rip on you prolly more than I should, but I am so glad you and the troops took the time to straighten people out about the evil and dangerous snake oil that is registry cleaners.

    Registry cleaners were garbage back in the 90′s with MS’s RegCleaner, CleanSweep, and everything else like that. You want a clean registry, reinstall Windows! Period!

    Huge props to Kat for calling the devil by it’s proper name!!!!

    Got the same PC since 2005, I use regularly registry cleaners and I’ve NEVER had to reinstall my O.S..
    I DO NOT agree in doing a complete reinstall every 3-6 months unless you spend all day installing and uninstalling programs.
    Registry cleaners are like any other program, just use common sense and u’ll be fine!

    what i heard was that a big regitsy makes your system slower. i noticed with “mv reg cleaner” that i find files keys of flash drive files that i can remove everytime i eject my flash drive. within time this list became around 315 keys so i decided to remove them. nothing bad happened. if there’s a key you don’t want to remove from the prompt..don’t check..it..logic doesn’t work for you?

    mcafee had it built in so i mean i trust mcafee to find errors only, but my trial is running out and this makes me feel better about not being able to delete the registry

    cause i have a good processor , a quad core q6600, a 4870 and a windows XP SP3, but the problem is that some times my internet explorer is too slow

    Thank you for this video. I was just researching for a registry cleaner. But I wanted some reviews. Everybody said RegCure and yet they didn’t give enough info, nor would they give a price. I found ComplaintBoard and everybody wrote how bad RegCure is. I then did another search and found this video. I will save my money! I appreciate your knowledge, thank you!!

    I ran registryfix on a dummy laptop (with no Internet connection for security reasons) with a fresh installation of Windows XP SP2 Professional. Registryfix found 165 problems. Yeah right.

    Have you ever wondered why the only reviews you’ll find about registry cleaners are from affiliate marketers? It’s because no-one, other than the shady affiliates themselves, would claim those products do anything useful especially on a Windows XP or higher machine. Registry cleaners are snake-oil.
