Generally, NO. Almost all “free registry cleaners” available on the internet contain spyware/adware. The only time you would be cleaning anything in the registry is to correct certain software problems, and usually the manufacturer of the problem software offers a tool to do it (Like the McAfee removal tool to fix problems updating McAfee, or the tool from Autodesk to correct AutoCAD installation problems).
