My True Story of using Registry Cleaners

Posted under Registry Cleaner

The following is my experience of utilizing registry cleaners. I have a computer that We bought 7 years ago. Now wait a minute! Before you think this particular computer is really too old and not worth talking about, please hear me out for two reasons: Firstly, the pc with its age and associated issues provided me with the best chance in order to test the most used registry cleaner available on the market that my research uncovered. Secondly, the pc, even though old was a high spec computer at the time I bought it and it’s still very adequate for my family’s needs and is a useful second computer in the house.

Although we had problems with the computer we could not throw it away because we have a lot of things on it. The problems was that the computer was running slow and freezing and crashing in the middle of important work and needed to be restart it all the time to get it working. We thought we were having these problems because of its age. It was very frustrating

I know what you are thinking: “why don’t you get a new one and transfer the data on to it and throw away this computer”? Yes I know, but apart from the emotional attachment we have to this computer for various reasons, in my family throwing out something like that is not that simple so please reserve your judgement.

Anyway, eventually my son and I took the computer to a local computer technician to see if he can fix it and stop it from running slow, stop the freezing and crashing and generally make the computer perform better. We were even ready to replace any hardware components that might be needed to make the computer work better so long as our data on the system is preserved.

We left the computer with him for 4 days and went back to collect it. When we got home we were very disappointed because he had not been able to fix the computer. For the $120 that we paid him all he did was to delete some files unauthorised to try and make the computer work faster. It was a complete waste of time.

We looked on the internet for solutions and that was when we discovered registry cleaners as a possible solution to our computer problems. I also realised that there are so many brands of registry cleaners on the market. I selected seven of them and evaluated them. It was clear from the evaluation that some registry cleaners work better than others.

I found that most of the registry cleaners more or less do the same job, except some work better than others. So I focused on a registry cleaner that is popular with people, thinking that the popular a registry cleaner the better it might be because people are buying it. On this basis I chose Regcure registry cleaner because it has over 60 million downloads – bigger than any of the other registry cleaners I looked at and so I bought it.

First I scanned the computer with the free scan feature that Regcure offers. The scan produced in excess of 2000 errors and went ahead and deleted few of the errors from my computer. For the rest to be removed I paid for the full version. After payment a second scan was done and this time all the errors were removed. From this experience I can say registry cleaners work. My computer now runs like new.

Why Should I Consider XP Registry Cleaners For My Computer?

Posted under Registry Cleaner

Windows Vista and XP registry cleaners seem like they are a dime a dozen on the internet. You can find dozens of them for free and even more available for purchase. What is so important about a registry cleaner that every software company on the planet feels the need to make one?

The registry was first developed with Windows 3.1. Back in those days, many programs used INI files, but had no central location to search for them. That meant that programs could take a while to start up. To solve this problem, the registry was added as a catalogue of all the information these programs needed in one easily accessible place. The only problem is that the registry cannot take care of itself and can become cluttered fairly quickly. When it does, the programs trying to access it take a lot longer as they have to sift through a bunch of obsolete files and dead end data.

Windows registry cleaners scan your registry in search of dormant information, and then it creates a list of its findings. It then fixes some entries and simply deletes obsolete information. Registry cleaners also find invalid ActiveX, sounds and app events, invalid start up programs, invalid fonts, and anything else that mucks up your computer. After a good clean, the software should backup the fixed entries in case the worst happens.

The real problem in getting a registry cleaner is deciding which one to use. Sure, you can download some very basic freeware, but there is always reason to suspect that these programs could be loaded with spyware or other intrusive malware. Even if they are clean, you are still entrusting your registry, a very delicate part of your OS, to a piece of software that someone isn’t even asking money for. If you do still plan on using the free versions, at least make sure you run a registry backup before you do any cleaning. Since you get no support from free programs, you’re out of luck if something should go wrong.

A good registry cleaner should be a part of any PC’s regular maintenance. You run scan disk, defrag and anti virus software to make sure that your computer is functioning as well as it can, so why not take it a little further and clean up the registry as well? If you have never run Vista or XP registry cleaners on your system before, you might be pleasantly surprised at the performance increase you can get from performing such a simple task.

How Are Free Registry Cleaner Programs Different From The Ones You Buy?

Posted under Registry Cleaner

You might be enticed into downloading a free registry cleaner program, but you might want to consider the difference between free programs and ones you pay for. As it turns out, there is more than just a price difference. Getting a free program might mean you are taking risks that put your computer in jeopardy. And since a registry cleaner is all about keeping your computer running at its highest level, putting it in danger is the last thing you want to do.

The biggest risk that free programs come with is the chance that they may contain viruses or malware. Depending upon where you get the program from, it may have been passed across many different computers. If you download directly from the maker’s site, you might be able to avoid these potential problems, but there are still other things to consider. Free registry cleaner programs might not cause any problems, but they could lack the support you get from a software company’s program.

When you purchase a program, you get the security of knowing that you won’t get any malware from a program that has been passed around from different computers and picked up any number or viruses. Just as importantly, you also get the support from the company who made the program. While free registry cleaner programs offer little or no support, a program you purchase will likely give you access to future program changes and updates as well as customer service if anything should go wrong. And if you still aren’t sure about buying, many companies offer a trial version of their program for free on their website.

Whether you buy a program or go with a free registry cleaner program, you have to make sure that it comes with a backup utility. A damaged registry can be a major problem you want to avoid at all costs. If your program has a backup utility, you can restore an old version and avoid potential problems. A free program may or may not come with this utility.

If something were to happen to your registry, and it wasn’t backed up, not only will you experience frustration, but you may incur unwanted expenditures. So really if you have a little extra cash, it is smart to avoid a free registry cleaner program, and invest in software that you can truly rely on to keep your PC running efficiently.

Do you want to try using a registry cleaner program? Before you check out that program, drop by our site to have acces to our indepth Registry Mechanic review. It offers a free trial version and is a program that you can depend on to help speed up your computer.

How To Free Up Hard Drive Space With A Registry Cleaner

Posted under Registry Cleaner

If you’re looking for ways to free up hard drive space and get your computer running a little more quickly, you might find some success with a registry cleaner. This is especially true if you have never run a registry cleaner on your computer before. Fortunately, registry cleaning software is almost always very user friendly and accessible to anyone. The hard part is understanding exactly what they do and why they can help you.

The Windows registry, the ever important hub of your computer, is the place where your computer goes to get files to run programs. Sometimes, left over information remains in the registry, and the operating system must read all of these orphaned entries which takes ample amounts of time and can cause errors. Temporary internet files, junk in the recycle bin and temporary files can also muck up the registry and operating system.

While these files are not particularly large in size, it is their number that causes problems. Hundred of files can accumulate in your registry and may not be needed at all. The number of files is a big problem because your computer must scan through every single one. The longer you wait to clean the registry, the more files you accumulate and the harder your computer has to work.

All registry cleaners can free up hard drive space by cleaning out unnecessary files, but some take it a step further. A lot of space, more than you might realize, is taken up by files in your history and temporary internet folders. A good registry cleaner can clean out these folders and many others, including your recycle bin.

Finding a program that has the features you need, but doesn’t cost more than you want to spend can be difficult. There are free programs that offer very basic features. Oftentimes, these programs may be written by small groups of people rather than big companies, making them more vulnerable to poor programming. You can find professional level software as well, but the odds are you won’t need the extra features they offer. A middle of the road cleaner probably works best for the majority of people.

If you’re suffering from a lack of hard drive space or your computer is just not loading as quickly as you like, you should definitely consider a registry cleaner. While it may not solve all of your problems it should certainly be a part of any regular maintenance schedule. It may speed up your computer and free up hard drive space you have been lacking.

At times, what may seem like tough problems have easy solutions. Free up hard drive space using a registry cleaner that’s reliable! Drop by our site to get our indepth Registry Mechanic review. You’ll see why there has been more than 60 million downloads of this popular utility.

Free Registry Cleaner Software: To Pay Or Not To Pay

Posted under Registry Cleaner

Free registry cleaner software is available for a price. Initially there aren’t any out-of-pocket expenses; however, in the long run you may pay depending on the circumstances. Paid programs are a better choice to maintain and care for your windows registry, and to avoid repairs.

With free registry cleaner software, most offer a free trial period. After the period expires, you will have to download the full version. The trial version may only offer the partial program, and after reading the small print you may discover that you will have to pay a fee anyway.

Some free software doesn’t have an efficient support system either. You may experience “the run around” when trying to get software support for a free cleaner. This situation will definitely cause frustration if you are experiencing error messages when trying to use your computer.

There are other benefits to buying software as well. You will likely get a more complete or higher quality program. While some free registry cleaner software will clean your registry, there is a chance it might cause more problems than it fixes. Buying a program from a reputable software company will get you a quality program backed by a company. You will probably end up with a program that works more effectively and lessens the risk to your computer.

You will also reap the benefits of upgrades with paid cleaner software. Upgrades are necessary as you want to ensure that your registry is clean and running efficiently as possible for operating speed. Don’t be stingy when it comes to taking care of your computer. It is vital to your everyday life and free registry cleaner software is a must when it comes to the maintenance of your registry and operating system.

Free registry cleaner software can help speed up computer performance but in most cases, purchased software provides more security and is more dependable. Read our full review of Registry Mechanic and you’ll understand why it’s the most downloaded registry cleaner software.

Posted under Registry Cleaner
