   You have to study each one. Read the reviews. … ALL FAULTS, no. There is no program that can do it all. Nobody creates a program that covers all of the threats completely.

   I recommend Ad-aware by LavaSoft and SpyBot Search & Destroy. Get both of these for free at http://www.download.com

   They’ll make your computer go faster if the reason it’s going slower is the thing they fix. It’s like replacing the tires on your car. That’ll make it go a lot faster if you have 4 flats, but it’s a waste of money if the car is just out of gas.

   Figure out why the computer is slow first – then fix that.
