what is the best windows registry cleaner software?

Does anyone have experience of Ashampoo?

    I tend to trust the most popular software on http://www.download.com.

    Registry cleaning is something you want done only by the most t rusted application. However they can even contain bugs.

    There was a time when Registry Mechanic (VERY popular) was deleting every key containing a certian character in its value. Luckily it was a uncommon character. Other than that flaw, I think Registry Mechanic is a good choice with plenty of "serials" floatin around the toilet of the internet.

    You can still get hold of microsoft's Regclean software on a few websites. Personally, I like Registry Mechanic from http://www.pctools.com.
    This works incredibly well and allows you to back up your registry first (very important if you're new to registry editing).
    Go into http://www.astalavista.box.sk to find the crack and get the full running version! Enjoy!

    Ashampoo are okay, but I get sick of all the Emails they send.

    This is the Free Toniarts Easycleaner

    There is also one available from Windows Powertoys, but Easycleaner does so much more, and has never messed my system up.

    Just in case though, always backup, and create restore point before doing anything.

    I used Norton System works and have had no problems, Its a little expensive but it does other tasks sush as disk cleaner etc

    ashampoo win optimizer suite 2 is ok i use that
    but pc tools reg mechanic 5 is what i use & never had no problems

    I don't have experience with using Ashampoo, though I have heard of it, but I did have a very positive experience in using StompSoft's Registry Repair software. I have been using it for quite some time now and have never had a problem. For me this is the best registry cleaner that I have found and I highly recommend it to anyone who asks me about registry cleaning software.
